These are our personal web pages.
Back in 2000 we decided to quit the "rat race" in London and move to Currane in Ireland.
Currane is on the West coast of County Mayo, is part of the parish of Achill and is the birthplace of Jane's mother.
Al's journal has the full story of our reasons, preparations, the move and the first year or so here.
Jane's Knotweed Nightmare is the story of our struggle with Japanese Knotweed; both to eradicate it and to raise awareness of the problem in Ireland, and the story of our attempts to restore the once famous gardens at Corraun House (our home).
Life at Corraun House is a collection of stories about life in this rural area, running a small pub, restoring our house and gardens and the wonderful people of Currane.
